Leo Varadkar
In 2018, referring to the newly published CCPI 2019, Leo Varadkar, former prime minister of Ireland, criticised it for ranking Ireland “very low” despite decreasing emissions in the country. Varadkar criticised the CCPI methodology, despite the ranking being based on a standardised assessment following the OECD guidelines for development of composite performance indicators.
