CCPI 2025: Media Response
An overview of international newspaper articles as well as important statistics, German press coverage and social media activity on this year’s CCPI.
The Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI) is published annually at the UN climate conferences. On November 20th at COP29 in Baku, the launch of CCPI 2025 attracted even more international attention than last time. The CCPI was mentioned over 1294 times in at least 67 countries around the world. Leading and renowned media around the world reported on the CCPI, including The Irish Independent, The Times of India, ORF, Tagesschau and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
Coverage was also exceptionally strong in the United Arab Emirates with 135 mentions, followed by India with 78 mentions, and Canada with 99 mentions. In the German media the CCPI was mentioned over 241 times.
